KEYSTONE

Keystone Lodging Information: 303-618-0773

Keystone is in the Summit County recreation area 75 miles west of Denver on Interstate 70, where four major ski areas are located (Keystone, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain and Arapahoe Basin). It is a AAA Five Diamond resort with a wide range of facilities, from first-rate hotel rooms to luxury suites and condominiums. It is one of Colorado's largest, most popular ski resorts.

Arapahoe Basin, part of the Keystone complex, is considered America's finest Alpine ski area, with peaks so high that skiing usually lasts until late June, sometimes August. Keystone also has Colorado's largest mountain conference center and some of the state's finest restaurants. It has America's largest night skiing area on a single mountain and several huge bowls for outback thrills.

Keystone has 95 trails and over 1,100 skiable acres (37% advanced, 55% intermediate, 8% beginner). Its highest lift at the main resort is 11,640 feet and its longest run is three miles. Arapahoe Basin has 61 trails and 490 acres (40% advanced, 50% intermediate, 10% beginner). Arapahoe Basin's longest run is under two miles, but its 12,450-foot lift is the highest in America. Nearly 90% of Arapahoe Basin is popular with high-level intermediate and expert skiers.

Activities in Keystone include snowboarding, Nordic skiing, children's lessons and child-care services. It is especially popular with intermediate skiers, but experts also find plenty of challenges.

Luxury lodging includes Keystone Lodge with 150 hotel rooms plus 800 condominium units from studios to four-bedroom townhomes, several restaurants, lounges, swimming pool and exercise center. Chateaux d'Mont has 15 luxury suites with fireplaces, kitchens and full concierge service. Unique accommodations include Ski Tip Lodge, a historic stagecoach stop that became America's first ski inn and is still operated with comfortable rooms.

SummitCove.com is the premiere provider of condo lodging in Keystone Resort. Lodging discounts are always available and the friendly staff is ready to help anytime. Call 303-618-0773 for more information about lodging.

Popular Keystone Resort Restaurants include Keystone Ranch, Ski Tip Lodge, Alpenglow Stube and the Garden Room. Night spots that usually have music or dancing include some at Keystone and several at the nearby town of Dillon: The Last Lift, Keysters, Tenderfoot Lounge, Snake River Saloon and the Old Dillon Inn.
